Workshops and Training

Small group learning for all levels.

Group workshops help participants gain useful skills to manage themselves and their peers in the workplace. Workshop topics range broadly to cover mental health literacy, personal development, peer support, and crisis management.

Our workshops are interactive. Lecture-based training constitutes 60% of course content while the other 40% is practice-based. We incorporate group discussions (usually in tables of 4 or 5), individual self-reflection activities, relevant case studies and the use of participant-identified scenarios to link theory with practice (involving triad role-plays, feedback loops and debriefing).

We understand that different organisations require different levels of training depending on where they are in general with organisational well-being programs. Our training levels range from introductory classes for individuals exploring how they can render psychological assistance, to special mode therapy training for para-counselling providers.

Get in touch with us and we’ll assess your needs and work out the most optimal training program for you.

Level 1

Foundations of Care & Support

At the basic level we aim to provide participants with a foundational knowledge of common mental health challenges, helpful values, and basic skills for attending to others in distress.

Level 2

Mastery Training

Mastery Training modules are targeted to help participants enhance their self-awareness and apply a structured approach to their counselling. Applied skills to working with unmotivated and reluctant clients with more challenging behaviours will also be practiced.

Other modules also include facilitating group sessions and peer support programmes.

Level 3

Skills-Specific Training

Our skills specific trainings are targeted for professional counsellors to adopt new techniques and modalities of counselling and psychotherapy. These also include case specific workshops such as managing Grief & Loss or Suicide Intervention.

Get in touch with us to request for any training provisions. We’re always glad to assist you in the planning of your team’s learning and development.

Normally, we conduct workshops for individuals who are expected to support others, these could be middle managers, partners, faculty, student helpers, case managers, or even identified peer-supporters in your organisation.

We advise to keep groups homogenous and competencies levelled for all participants to remain engaged.

Workshop material and activities are normally planned for 15-30pax to keep within the optimal trainer-student ratio.

Workshops may run for a ½-day to 4-days. This depends on your needs. We suggest running workshops over a duration of 2 days to cover a substantial amount of breadth and depth of topic.

Commonly run topics include: Psychological First Aid, Mental Health Literacy, Crisis Management, and Peer Support Trianing. Please contact us for a proposed course design. We are always available to meet with before in order to discuss and optimize our workshops offered.
